Being organic
What does it mean Organic oil?
Organic Oil, like other products from the organic farming supply chain, refers to agricultural production and cultivation methods that use only natural substances. The use of chemically synthesized substances, such as fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides, is strictly prohibited because they can cause serious changes in the environment, and moreover they can negatively affect the health and authenticity of food.
Supporting this production method for companies and small producers means developing a production model that avoids the excessive exploitation of natural resources, in compliance with some technical principles:
- Exclusion of fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides.
- Use of resistant plants that are adaptable to the territory.
- Use of organic-based fertilizers in order to improve the potential of the soil.
- Plant protection based on prevention and respect for the environment.
